Different parties in Hong Kong society try to solve the racist. It is not difficult to find that there are many policies, services and promotions about it. For example,[1] government provide address to the issue and carries out policies to support them in varies field: Education, employment and health service. The Equal Opportunities Commission also stresses the important of equality between race and definition of race discrimination is clearly stated with race discrimination ordinance. Non-government organization namely Oxfam, Centre for Harmony and Enhancement of Ethnic Minority Residents(CHEER) and International Social Service.

Media can show the attention of public generation at the period of time; there is a trend of having more radio broadcast, TV program and documentary use ethnic minority as the topic. As mention above, the public education is getting mature, people awareness on ethnic minority issue. [2] Many people would like to uphold the value of equality, and agree to solve the race discrimination problem; however, when talking to distribution of social resources namely education, housing and welfare, Hong Kongers would believe that they should not have same citizen treatment as local people. This kind of altitude is contradicted; the factor affecting the altitude will be identity. Hong Kong people have strong identity as a Hong Kongers and therefore they will have the mindset that the local resource should first distribute to “ Hong Kongers ”.
The tendency of tradition and social norm are too strong, the problem of discrimination is impossible to solve overnight; however, the improvement can be seen year by year which can show by the age and the education are positively related to the incentive to solve the discrimination problem. Public education is vitally important in this case.
Interviewee Dilini accept that local people treat them differently and think that it is normal in every country. He and his friend don't mind how Hong Kong people look at them as they have strong identity. Dilini, Zarifa and Moaz would keep using their own mother tongue with their friends from same countries and they won’t pay attention to the surroundings people. This shows that they pound of their language and their value is not worry about what other people's eyes. While considering the current situation in Hong Kong, it is quite satisfactory as well, as the ethnic minority do not feel a strong negative feeling in daily. In this case, the attitude of Hong Kongers has room to improve but only long-term solution can solve the problem.
